Soaring fuel costs, deployment changes and steep discounting took a chunk out of Carnival Corp.’s second-quarter profits, despite higher revenues year over year.
The world’s largest cruise ship company earned $206 million for the period that ended May 31, an 18 percent drop from $252 million during the same time in 2010.
